The Crown Isle Community in Courtenay, BC has recently announced that they are constructing a new subdivision, known as Greystone Estates. This distinctive residential neighbourhood is located directly adjacent to the 8th fairway of the Crown Isle Golf Course. New home construction and sales activity has jumped significantly during the past few months at The Ridge in the Vancouver Island community of Courtenay, B.C.

Monterra Projects, known for building high quality custom homes and multi-family projects in the Comox Valley, has started construction on a new patio home project called Tanglewood, at The Ridge in South Courtenay.
The Ridge is a master-planned neighbourhood of new homes located just minutes away from the downtown core of Courtenay, shopping centres, major amenities and the Comox Valley Airport (YQQ).

Residents of The Ridge in Courtenay have many reasons to "Love living at The Ridge."
One couple, Brianna and Jeremy, told 1stView about many of the benefits their family enjoys in their new home at The Ridge. They moved into their new custom home at The Ridge in March, 2019.
The couple said they looking for a safe and quiet neighbourhood for their family and their two young children. They bought a home built by one of The Ridge's preferred builders, Brando Construction.
“We were looking at quite a few homes in different locations and the first time we visited The Ridge we fell in love with it, because of the layout of the neighbourhood, the walking trails for our dog, and the amazing mountain and ocean views. We can even see the Mainland mountains from here! We immediately enjoyed a very welcoming feeling driving into The Ridge."
The family enjoys the easy access to outdoor activities, and have noticed their neighbours are also busy exploring the Comox Valley.

“Life at The Ridge is very family-friendly, there is a nice mix of young families who interact with each other, retirees and other residents of all ages. There are very few vehicles on the roads - only neighbourhood traffic - and the roundabouts help calm the traffic.
“When I walk the dog, even early in the morning, I say ‘hi’ to at least 10 people. We have the best neighbours and we have quickly become friends."

The new housing development at The Ridge in Courtenay continues to grow as they now have Phase 3 under construction. Paving and street lighting installation is now nearing completion. Registration on Phase 3A, which consists of 48 residential lots, will be completed by mid-December, and new homes will be under construction once registration is complete.
Zoning at The Ridge allows for secondary suites to be built as part of all single-family lots in this development. These south Courtenay building lots feature views of the Comox Glacier, the Island and Mainland mountains, and ocean views of Comox Bay. Almost 100 new homes have been completed in Phases I and 2 and more homes are still under construction.

The Ridge, a master planned development in South Courtenay in the Comox Valley, has launched a new website.
Several builders are now working on homes in Phase 2 of this project, while new lots are under construction for Phase 3. Both ocean and mountain view lots are available. Residents have been living in this new communiy for a few years now, and the commnity amenities are all well established. Lots at the Ridge allow for secondary suites or carriage homes.
The new website has added drone footage of the views at The Ridge from different directions, showing the stunning views of the Comox Estuary, the ocean, and the surrounding mountains. This footage also shows the streetscape at The Ridge and how close the community is to local shopping areas and other amenities.
