Monterra Builders is building an 84 multi-family townhome project in Cumberland. Phase 1, consisting of 12 units, is now occupied by the new owners. Phase 2, which includes 11 townhomes, will be ready for occupancy in October. Construction is ongoing for Phase 3 through 5 for an additional 35 units. The project is expected to be completed in August of 2019. Prices of the units range from $381,900 to $399,900. Sales have been brisk, with 56 of the 84 units sold. Fifteen units are currently under construction.
The townhomes will range in size from 1,318 sq. ft. to 1,643 sq. ft. and will be built as duplexes, tri-plexes, and four-plexes. There are five floor plans available and two high end design packages to choose from.

In Campbell River, a 7-unit townhome project has been built at 796 South Island Highway, a 12 unit townhouse project has been approved to proceed at Hilchey Road, Liberty Green is proceeding with construction for 25 units on Soderholm Road and there are more projects underway and in the design process.
The story is the same in the Comox Valley. In Comox, there is a 42 townhome project proposed on Guthrie Road and a seven unit west coast style townhouse, duplex, single family project on Glacier View Drive. In Courtenay, a 24 unit townhouse project is proposed for Lewrick as well as 22 townhomes further down the road at Guthrie Road.
In total, Building Links has documented 249 townhome units that will be built in the next year. They estimate that will be another +50 in the works in the next 6-12 months, bringing the total up to almost 300 townhome units during the past 18 months.

The Rise - Lot servicing and road construction for Phase III and IV at The Rise in Crown Isle is now complete and Silverado Land Corp. is expecting to receive registration in the next few weeks. Builders are expected to submit building permit applications for new homes in November. To date, approximately 59 of the 69 lots have been reserved by future homeowners and home builders.
This new extension of The Rise is located on the north/west side of Ryan Road in Courtenay, B.C. Some of the new home lots feature spectacular views of the mainland mountains and of the ocean. Prices for the remaining lots start at $195,000.
Cambridge Park Estates - Construction is nearing completion of the final new phase of Crown Isle Drive, which will link to the south end of Crown Isle Drive near Kensington Crescent. Curbing and sidewalks are being installed and paving is set to begin in the next few weeks. Some of these lots are located on the golf course side, with views of the Comox Glacier and of the golf course. Registration is expected in November for the 67 lots.
